And now, a minute with the Word…

While on trial before Felix, Paul confessed, “that according to the Way [i.e. of Christ]…so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets” (Acts 24.14) He saw no discord between the Old and New Testaments. Indeed, Jesus did not come “to destroy the Law or the Prophets…but to fulfill” (Matthew 5.17), “that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning [Christ]” (Luke 24.44). “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith” (Galatians 3.24).
