And now, a minute with the Word…

Knowing and believing the truth is vital to my walk as a Christian. I need to know what God has said, because there will be people in this world who will say things that are contradictory to Scripture. I need to test everything to see whether it is in accordance with what we see in the Bible (1 John 4.1). Jesus warned those who heard the sermon on the mount to “be on your guard against false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves” (Matthew 7.15). How do I know who is a false teacher? Jesus told them in Matthew 7.16,20 that “you’ll recognize them by their fruits”. Let me have the mindset of those in Acts 17.11 who searched the scriptures daily to see whether what they were being taught was true. I need to always go back to God’s word for everything.
