Week 51, Day 2 — Esther 9-10
Series: 2024 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the word…
As I read through the final 2 chapters of the book of Esther, I couldn’t help but think of another day when God’s people will have victory over those who despise them. That day is coming and it will be a glorious day for the saints! There will be deliverance from those who seek to harm us. There will be deliverance from sin and its consequences. There will be deliverance from our greatest enemy — death.
Isaiah 25.8 — “He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of His people He will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.” (ESV)
If you remember one thing from the book of Esther, let it be that God always takes care of His people, and that He will take care of us.
Revelation 21.5-7 — “And He who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ Also He said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’ And He said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be His God, and He will be my son.’” (ESV)
