David examines who is worthy to dwell in the presence of God. In verse 2, he lists the characteristics of “he who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart.” Similarly, Paul stated in Ephesians 2:10 “for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” David continues with the qualities of keeping promises, hating wickedness, not slandering, harming or taking advantage of others. In verse 5, he concludes by stating “he who does these things shall never be moved.” Paul encouraged the Corinthian saints “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58) Similarly, he wrote “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
