And now, a minute with the Word…

This is a psalm of praise to God, celebrating His sovereignty, power and righteousness. The psalmist begins in verse 1 “Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous!” In verses 6-9, “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host. He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; He puts the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him! For He spoke, and it came it be; He commanded, and it stood firm.” Similarly, in John 1:3 “All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.” And in Hebrews 11:3, “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”
