And now, a minute with the word…

I counted at least five times (Job 9.15, 20, 21, 10.7) where Job asserts his innocence. He is assured of the fact that he is innocent of sin and therefore does not deserve all the evil that is happening to him. These passages show us just how distraught Job was; we all have probably felt this way at least one time or another. When we feel this way, we need to understand that there is a battle being waged for our soul. God sent His son Jesus to purchase me back out of sin and bring me into His family. Satan wants the exact opposite — he wants me to abandon God and will cause trial after trial to assail me. Don’t let Satan win. Remember the Lord’s our Rock and in Him we hide, a shelter in a time of storm.
