Ephesians 3
Series: 2023 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
In this chapter of Ephesians, we see how Paul viewed himself and who he always pointed everything he did back to. In Ephesians 3.8, Paul says “To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ”…Paul, the very man who composed almost half of the New Testament that we are still reading from today; the very man who would go take the Gospel of Jesus to the center of the political world in his time and help convert some of Caesar’s household, viewed himself as the least of all the saints. That is not to say that Paul had low self esteem or viewed himself as of no value in the kingdom, but he thought of himself as a servant of God and one who had been blessed by God with the privilege of spreading the Gospel. This is a mindset that we should all aim to imitate.
