Ephesians 6
Series: 2023 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
As Paul closes his letter to the church at Ephesus, he asks them to offer prayers on his behalf. He says in vs 19-20, “Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough to speak about it as I should.” As I thought about this, it made me examine whether or not I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ that they can proclaim the Gospel to those around them with boldness. We live in a world that desperately needs the Gospel message. Are we speaking boldly to those around us with that message? Am I considering the work of others and offering prayers on their behalf so that they may have courage to speak the message of salvation to all? The work of spreading the Gospel does not rest with an evangelist alone, we all have a part to play in proclaiming the message of salvation. Let’s always consider the work of our brothers and sisters and pray for their boldness!
