And now, a minute with the Word…

In verses 3 and 4 of Philippians 2, Paul reminds us how important unity is and for us to set our own selfishness and pride aside and to look out for the interests of others. In verses 5-8, we see that Christ humbled himself by going to the cross and dying a cruel death, so that we might live. Romans 5:6 reminds us that while we were without strength, Christ died for us. Never has there been a greater example of looking out for the interest of others than we see with Christ Jesus going to the cross on behalf of each of us. May we all strive to have this same type of mindset that we see in Christ Jesus.
