And now, a minute with the Word…

Most departures from the Lord and His truth do not happen as a single decision made at a moment in time; rather they are the outcome of slow, almost imperceptible movement, the result of going with the tide, the consequence of neglect; that is, drifting, or letting things slip. Instead, “we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard,” that is, “so great a salvation.” First for its credibility — spoken by the Lord Himself, confirmed by earwitness testimony, and attested by God through the Holy Spirit’s signs, wonders, and miracles. Second for fear of judgment — “how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation”?
