And now, a minute with the Word…

Children who do not develop as they should over time — physically, mentally, or emotionally — are cause for grave concern to their parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, and friends. After all, stunted growth in any way is not natural, so explanations and remedies are eagerly sought. But God’s children who do not develop as they should are often cause for little concern to anyone, except the Lord Himself. Instead, stunted growth is seemingly expected, frequently excused, and altogether ignored. As God’s children, we must do better, for ourselves and for others. Admonish those who are “dull of hearing,” challenge those who are “unskilled in the word of righteousness,” and encourage all, “let us go on to perfection” (Hebrews 6.1).
