Acts 27
Series: 2023 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
Slow progress, difficulty, contrary winds, dangerous sailing conditions, pending disaster, tempestuous head winds, ship reinforcements, fear of running aground, “exceedingly tempest-tossed” (verse 18), “neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest beat on us, all hope that we would be saved was finally given up” (20), “disaster and loss” (21) — all calmed by God saying, “Do not be afraid, Paul” (24). And so it should be for us — “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13.5-6)
