Romans 15
Series: 2023 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
Verses 5 and 6 mention being united together in Christ Jesus. Unity occurs when: we are selfless servants (v. 1), we look to edify one another (v. 2), our aim is to glorify God (v. 6), we are filled with goodness, knowledge, and admonition (v. 14).
When there is unity among a group of believers, we are able to shine a bright light for the Lord. In a world of division and fractions, unity will stand out, attracting others to God.
As with everything else, we can look to Christ to give us an example of how to practice this unity. "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own interests, but also for the interests of others." (Philippians 2:3-4)
