Romans 16
Series: 2023 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
"For your obedience has become known to all."
What an encouraging statement to be made about a group of Christians. It is clear to see that they were, indeed, shining a bright light to those around them - to both Christians and non-Christians alike. This is something every Christian should strive for.
What sticks out, though, is that the Christians in Rome were still not perfect. As we have read in the previous 15 chapters, they still had things they needed to work on, room to grow and improve. We must never stop growing and increasing our faith.
"... in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your. moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:5-8)
