Titus Chapter 2 begins with some guidelines for some of the older people in the church. For older men, Paul said they should conduct themselves with self-control, wisdom, and seriousness. He also said they should be patient, loving, and strong.For older women, Paul said they should refrain from saying bad things about people and drinking too much. He wanted them to teach younger women about the proper ways to love their children and their husbands. Paul said that if they took care of the homes and families properly, nobody would be able to criticize the teaching that the apostles gave them.

In Titus Chapter 2, Paul said that the slaves should be willing to serve their masters all the time. Rather than arguing with them, they should try to please them. These actions will build trust with their masters and reflect ideally on the teaching from the apostles. Paul told Titus to teach the people that they should always be prepared for the coming of Jesus. He explained that Jesus gave His life to redeem the sinner from all iniquity and to purify a people who would belong to Him.
