2 Corinthians 6
Series: 2023 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the word…
At the end of 2 Corinthians 6.17, Paul quotes from the Old Testament book of Isaiah when he says, “‘Therefore, come out from among them and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Do not touch any unclean thing and I will welcome you.’” Is that my mindset today? When I think of the world around me, do I try and separate myself apart from the world, and separate myself to the service of God? When I think about it, do I try and cling to maybe the people that I used to hang around before I was a Christian? Do I still go to the same places that I used to go before I was a Christian? Or do I participate in the same things? James, in his letter to Christians in general, later in the New Testament, talked about resisting the devil and he will flee from you and draw near to God, and God will draw near to you. Is that my mindset? Am I continually trying to draw near to God while at the same time resisting the devil?
