And now, a minute with the Word…

In John’s pursuit to prove to his audience that Jesus is in fact the Son of God, he focuses on a few miracles. The first of which is the miracle at the wedding feast in which Jesus turned water to wine. This was his first public miracle and helped solidify his disciples’ faith in him. This is not something that should only strengthen the faith of the disciples but our faith as well. Jesus has absolute power and control over his creation and He shows this by changing the chemical make up of the water. If we are to be followers of Him then we need to show that same absolute change in our own lives from our old self into our new self. We also see that if we have faith and ask God for what we need He is both willing and able to provide for what we need.
