And now, a minute with the Word…

In Luke 2.49, Jesus said to his earthly parents, “Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?” In John 4.34, “Jesus said to [His disciples], ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me…’” In John 6.38, Jesus said, “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me,” and again, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me…” (9.4). Now in 17.4, He prays to His Father, “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.” From its beginning, throughout, and to its end, Jesus earthly life revolved around one central theme — “Your will be done” (Matthew 26.42).
