And now, a minute with the Word…

At certain times in our lives — as individuals, families, congregations, communities, and nations — I’m certain that all of us have felt as if Satan is winning, evil and evil people are prevailing, righteousness and righteous ones are waning. Revelation 11 assures us that these are NOT permanent conditions. In the words of Jesus Himself, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16.33). And for those who are in Christ, i.e. those who are Christians, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4.4).
