And now, a minute with the Word…

What makes our struggle for right, in our own lives and in the lives of others around us, so difficult? An increasingly godless nation? a secular society? a confusing religious culture? those who are Christians in name only? worldly family, friends, classmates, coworkers, and neighbors? immoral entertainment and social media? our own “lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life” (1 John 2.16)? Certainly all of these present real challenges, but we must never forget WHO the real enemy is — “a great, fiery red dragon . . . that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12.3, 9). “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but…against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day…” (Ephesians 6.12-13).
