And now, a minute with the Word…

Seven trumpets — seven warnings — comprised of hail, fire, and blood (8.7); damage to the earth, trees, grass, sea, ships, rivers, springs, sun, moon, and stars (8.7-13); scorpion-like locusts afflict mankind (9.1-12), and an army of 200,000,000 horsemen kill “a third of mankind” (9.13-19). Why? So they might “repent of the works of their hands,” but they would not (9.20-21). As evidenced here, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3.9).
