And now, a minute with the Word…

“Their works follow them” (Revelation 14.13). These words offer three sobering reminders. First, our influence extends beyond our earthly life — remember Dorcas, who “was full of good works and charitable deeds” and whose funeral was attended by “weeping, showing the tunics and garments which [she] had made” (Acts 9.36,39). Second, “God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister” (Hebrews 6.10). Third, “we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5.10).
