And now, a minute with the Word…

In Revelation 14.8, an angel declared, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Now the apostle John “saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete” (15.1). So certain is the righteous judgment of God that He can declare it complete before even the first of those final plagues (the “seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God,” 15.7) are poured out upon the city. It is as if the Lord says to His angels and to His people, both martyred and living, “See! I have given [Babylon] into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor” (cf. Joshua 6.2).
