And now, a minute with the Word…

Revelation 19.13 — “He wore a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called the Word of God.” (CSB)

When most people today think of Jesus, they picture a man, usually surrounded by children or small lambs. They only envision Jesus as a tender, soft spoken, non-confrontational man. While Jesus is tender and gentle, He is also a King and a Warrior. His robe, as John saw, was dipped in blood and He had a sharp sword protruding from his mouth, which was to be used in striking down the nations (those who oppose God). Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus has been granted all authority in Heaven and on earth (Matthew 28.18). I have a responsibility to that authority — I am to subject myself to the rule of Jesus and live by what He has said. Do I accept Jesus as my Savior AND my King?
