Week 5, Day 3 — A minute with the Word
Series: 2024 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word...
Moses was to be God’s mouthpiece to Pharaoh. He approaches Pharaoh in Exodus 5.1 with the command from God, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’” Pharaoh’s response is one of defiance. He doesn’t know this God, and he will not submit to him. Just like Moses, we too have been called to be God’s mouthpiece. While we may not approach world leaders, or people in positions of great authority, we are to take God’s message of salvation to the rest of mankind. The fountain is flowing and free for all who will partake of it (Revelation 22.17). More than likely, we too will encounter those who do not know God or want to submit to him. Just like Moses, we can show those people the power and love of God by demonstrating to them the difference that God has made in our lives.
