And now, a minute with the Word…

“When you come into the land that I give you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest . . . And you shall eat neither bread nor grain parched or fresh until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God” (Leviticus 23.10, 14). Here we should learn an important principle from the Law — before we consume and enjoy the blessings of the Lord (whether food or anything else), we should thank and praise Him for and with those blessings. “Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce” (Proverbs 3.9).
