And now, a minute with the word…

Joshua 24.15 — “But if it doesn’t please you to worship the Lord, choose for yourselves today: Which will you worship — the gods your fathers worshipped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living? As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord.” (CSB)

Joshua challenged the Israelites on who they would serve. Would they choose to serve an idol or would they choose to serve the God who led them out of Egypt, into the land of Canaan, and who conquered the land for them? We have a somewhat similar choice today. Are we going to serve ourselves, our own selfish desires, and ultimately Satan? Or will we serve the God who has redeemed us from our life of bondage in sin, who has conquered death for us, and who offers us a place in the promised land (Heaven) for all eternity? Again, the choice is ours. Let’s have the strength to choose to serve God and Him only.
