And now, a minute with the Word…

Two fundamental spiritual truths resound from 1 Chronicles 10.13-14 — First, faith requires obedience, and “not keep[ing] the command of the LORD” equals a “breach of faith” (as Saul “broke faith with the LORD,” verse 13; cf. James 2.14-26). Second, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths” (Proverbs 3.5-6; as “David strengthened himself in the LORD his God,” 1 Samuel 30.6).
