And now, a minute with the word…

In 1 Kings 18, we are introduced to the man who is in charge of the palace of Ahab. This man is not like Ahab or Jezebel, but instead he fears the Lord greatly. He even went so far as to save prophets whom the Lord had sent to the kingdom of Israel, hid them, and provided for their physical needs (1 Kings 18.3-14, 13). Even in the midst of the wickedness in the kingdom of Israel, there were still those who feared the Lord and served Him. When we look out at our present world, it’s easy to see all the wickedness around us. Let us take courage from the fact that there are people in this world doing great and wonderful things for the Kingdom of God every day, putting their lives on the line. Pray for the wellbeing and safety of those individuals today.
