And now, a minute with the Word…

“For thus says the LORD, ‘You shall not see wind or rain, but that streambed shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink, you, your livestock, and your animals’” (2 Kings 3.17). Indeed, for the Lord who “created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1.1), who parted the waters of the Red Sea (Exodus 14.21-31), who made bitter waters sweet (15.22-27), and who brought water out of rocks (17.1-7; Numbers 20.2-13), “This is a light thing in the sight of the LORD,” and it provided assurance that “He [would] also give the Moabites into [their] hand” (2 Kings 3.18).
