And now, a minute with the Word…

Jehoram, king of Judah, “walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife. And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord” (2 Kings 8.16-18; cf. 2 Chronicles 21.6). “Ahaziah the son of Jehoram, king of Judah . . . also walked in the way of the house of Ahab and did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, as the house of Ahab had done, for he was son-in-law to the house of Ahab” (verses 25-27). Jehoram and Ahaziah stand as enduring testaments to the influential wickedness of Ahab, king of Israel; and as timeless warnings, be careful who you marry!
