Week 30, Day 5 — A minute with the Word
Series: 2024 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the word…
The idea that kept coming to my mind while reading 2 Chronicles 25 was that when we leave God and chart our own path and follow our own desires and wishes, it will not end well for us. That’s not said to suggest in any way that if we follow God diligently here on earth, that our lives will be easy and we won’t have any hardships. However, if we follow God and do the will of our Father, we will be blessed for all eternity. Judah’s King Amaziah was met with a tragic end where he was put to death by his own people. Let us learn from the example of this king and decide in our heart to follow God wholeheartedly and not turn from serving Him.
Matthew 7.21 — “Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in Heaven.” (CSB)
