And now, a minute with the Word…

Chapter 22 records that King Josiah “did what was right in the eyes of the Lord” (verse 2). He rejected the evil ways of his predecessors and instead obeyed God’s Word. It says of Josiah in chapter 23, verse 25, “Before him there was no king like him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to the Law of Moses, nor did any like him arise after him.” Similarly, Jesus said that “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37) The Lord God has always sought those with an obedient heart.
