And now, a minute with the Word…

God had plans for Jeremiah long before he was born. In chapter 1, the word of God came to Jeremiah “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Verse 5) Jeremiah responded, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” (Verse 6) God told Jeremiah, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.” (Verses 7-8) Similarly, Paul told Timothy “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)
