Week 44, Day 4 — Jeremiah 47-49
Series: 2024 Bible ReadingAnd now, a minute with the Word…
The Philistines, Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Arameans, Elamites, and those in the land of Kedar would all meet the same fate — they would suffer the judgment of God, in addition to His own chosen people, the people of the kingdom of Judah. This should remind us about God’s character. He is the sovereign King of all creation. So it is today, He is the sovereign King of all creation. No one will escape the judgment of God. He commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17.30) because He has “fixed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom He has appointed; and of this He has given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead.” (Acts 17.31). This day of judgment is not just reserved for a select few, but all men everywhere. Am I taking the message of the Gospel to all creation as Jesus instructed (Matthew 28.18-20)? Am I trying to bring as many souls with me to Heaven as I can?
