And now, a minute with the Word…

Ezekiel 16 and 23 (which we will read later this week) are extraordinarily challenging chapters — not because they are particularly difficult to understand, but because they present vivid and painful pictures of our sins’ impact upon God and our fellowship with Him. As unpleasant as it might be, we would do well to revisit these chapters regularly, especially in light to James’ sobering admonition in James 4.4 — “You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”
