And now, a minute with the Word…

Yes, “The Lord…is patient…not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance,” but He “is not slow [or slack] to fulfill his promise as some count slowness [or slackness]” (2 Peter 3.9). The Lord’s repeated calls to repentance, including captives taken from Judah in the days of Daniel and Ezekiel, had gone unheeded; so now “The king of Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem this very day” (Ezekiel 24.2). “I am the LORD. I have spoken; it shall come to pass; I will do it. I will not go back; I will not spare; I will not relent; according to your ways and your deeds you will be judged, declares the Lord GOD” (verse 14).
