And now, a minute with the Word…

In chapter 4, Nehemiah said “So we built the wall. And all the wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.” (verse 6) When their enemies attempted to stop their efforts, “each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built.” (verse 18) In chapter 6, after they finished the wall in fifty-two days, Nehemiah wrote “And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem, for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.” Similarly, Paul penned in Philippians 1:13, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” We can accomplish great things united in our service to the Lord.
