And now, a minute with the Word…

In chapter 5, the inspired wise man instructs, as a father to son, young men to let wisdom guide them in their relationship with women; to be careful and avoid the ways of the wicked woman (verses 1-6). He warns young men not to waste their life and labors on the immoral woman; it would result in despair and complete ruin (verses 7-14). The young man is instructed to enjoy a relationship with his own wife; to delight in the future life that can be built together based on Godly wisdom; and to be exhilarated with love and desire for her (verses 15-20). He is to remember that God sees everything; and the wicked will not escape the consequences of his sin (verses 21-23). The young man is repeatedly warned against the wicked woman in these chapters that speak as a father to son.
