And now, a minute with the Word…

Life, live, salvation, deliver, redeem, hope, and comfort appear a combine forty-two times in Psalm 119, blessings all springing from the Word of God. Jesus said it this way — in Matthew 4.4, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God;” in Luke 8.11, “The seed is the word of God;” in Luke 11.28, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it;” in John 5.24, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life;” in John 6.63, “The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life;” in John 8.31-32, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free;” and in John 8.51, “Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”
