And now, a minute with the Word…

“When the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that [Jesus] did, and the children crying out in the temple, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ they were indignant, and they said to him, ‘Do you hear what these are saying?’ And Jesus said to them, ‘Yes; have you never read [from Psalm 8.2], “Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise”?’” (Matthew 21.15-16). As Jesus had earlier prayed, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children” (Matthew 11.25). Indeed, “God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong” (1 Corinthians 1.27).
