And now, a minute with the Word…

Who do I place my trust in? Do I understand who God is? In times of trouble, God is our refuge. God is the one in whom we can trust. The Lord is a strong and mighty tower and those that run to Him will be safe (Proverbs 18.10). Do not place your trust in other men; do not place your trust in any nation; do not place your trust in your wealth (1 Timothy 6.17). God alone is where we should place our trust. I’m reminded of the first verse of the hymn, The Solid Rock. “My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ the solid rock I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.”
